A quiet Christmas awaits at the WaltherPark x ALPENMADONNA pop-up exhibition in Bolzano. Eighteen pictures hang on the walls of a former bar next to the newly built WaltherPark. The name ALPENMADONNA is written in simple chalk above the shop. The exhibition seems like a counterpoint to the commercial surroundings. Something it doesn't intend to be: "Christmas is quite a loud celebration these days. My pop-up exhibition offers a quiet Christmas. It's a place where you can pause and reflect. It's a wonderful addition to the Christmas season in Bolzano," says Peter Unterthurner.

WaltherPark a place for art

“WaltherPark was designed by Pritzker Prize winner David Chipperfield. The installation ‘Alpen Glow’ by artist and designer Sabine Marcelis hangs in the WaltherPark shopping center. Now we are very pleased to be bringing a fitting art project for the Christmas season to Bolzano with ALPENMADONNA by Peter Unterthurner,” says WalterPark president Thibault Chavanat.
