EXHIBITION: 20.03.24 - 20.11.2024 "Contemporary Art in Ancient Walls" at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Admont Abbey.
For 950 years, Admont Abbey has united art and faith. In this anniversary year, artistic director Dr. Michael Braunsteiner presents a cross-section of the abbey's art collection in the group exhibition "Contemporary Art in Ancient Walls" at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Nine ALPENMADONNAS enter into a dialogue with the impulsive images of Mary bx the French artist Guillaume Bruère and a Gothic sculptures from the circle of Jakob Kaschauer.
The group exhibition features artworks by Götz Bury, Herbert Brandl, Guillaume Bruère, Manfred Erjautz, Julie Hayward, Nikola Irmer, Alfred Klinkan, Lois Renner, Franz West, Erwin Wurm, among others
